As a Math enthusiast (a very rare trait nowadays), I’m always looking at numbers and how they relate to each other, the patterns they form, and ways of expressing these relationships graphically.

The first time I ran across this fascinating Japanese multiplication method, I was very skeptical.

Then I tried it and it works perfectly!

Just follow the instructions in the video below, and you will be able to multiply any pair of numbers by simply counting the dots in the grid, thus eliminating to need to memorize the dreadful “times tables”.
